My old friend, Moto G (1st Generation from Great British.) 16GB was sencond handed of an old aged gentleman. He was used this phone to living in GB, but he changed this cute one to iPhone for using Facetime with his grandchilds. Yes, all grandparents are want to use Facetime even my mother still using my old iPhone5 for having good time via Facetime of my sister’s, and grandson. I believe Android can’t break the great wall of Apple’s Facetime, even myself loves to use Facetime for my mother and wife, and my wife also like to facetime with her niece.
In few monthes ago, March, I got an OTA message from MotoG to “it’s ready to upate Lollipop”. So I just update to expect more faster than before in using Android 4.4.4, Actually it was my hope because MotoG android 4.4.4 has big big problems in other country like South Korea like can’t handle MMS and SMS message in Asian language as like Korean.
Update was successfully done. There’s nothing like error. Responsibility was excellent even my MotoG has Qualcomm snapdragon 400 series. It was wonder I can’t sens it is slow or laggy . And? That’s all. Motorolla updated MotoG series to Android 5.0.2 and it still has big problem in leakage of memory by android core system. Google failed fix this problem in many monthes.
My MotoG has same problem in real world to be need reboot phone for abnormal situatation like doesn’t work any apps nomore by reason of system free memory not availed. This is a big problem of Android 5.0.x. Imagine a fiction, You got a important message from someone. You need to check what is contained in MMS. You just touch your MotoG screen to run a app as known well as Message. But it doesn’t work. You can’t know what happened to you.
In case of met unknown situation like any apps could be appears on your screen, just need to be reboot. There’s no way to solve that problem without power down and up again. Expressly MotoG has non-removal battery, so it depends on user’s knowledge how it could be reboot in abnormal situation. You can’t access power menu in really bad time, then just pres all buttons on your MotoG (Volume down, up and power) for more 5 seconds. MotoG automatically reset itself and boot again. This is a quickly way to reboot your phone and most of Android phones using same.
I love this cheappy handy smartphone except soft navigation buttons. Other abnormally works are could be handle by myself. That’s are acceptable. But still I don’t understand why Google promote this junky soft navigation system. Sometimes it doesn’t work even looks work like I can see responsing brighten animated circle on my touch, but not work. sometimes I can’t back to previous activity page or home screen. It’s all same my Android phones: also LG G3 and SONY Xperia Z1.
This small friend has expired. No more productions New versions are still on the market. But I can’t recommend this for my people. Just enough to use it as talk, send a SMS or MMS. Taking snap shot. Upload pictures to SNS. But others? nehy. Don’t try. Don’t mind if you have this phone for primary one of yours.
