If you have plan to buy a new smartphone from China ?
Yes, you can buy a new. But make it sure what is my best choice before determine yourself. And remember,
Price means everything.
What is your style ?
Before buying new smartphone, you may consider what is your style. Most 99% of Chinese smartphones installed Android OS and it mostly belongs to AOSP(Android Open Source Project) but not all from origin, sometimes defected or old source codes compiled in even their latest binary version.
And make sure what material is favor on middle and full body. Most of under 100 USD took PC/ABS – known as just plastic – for their assembly. And over 100 USD to 150 USD devices mixed using magnesium and aluminium metal alloy, but back cover may not – maybe glass or plastic. Over 150 USD almost all metallic alloy, and it means heavy.
Modern Chinese smartphones used their front screen to 2.5D rounded glass for good feeling in each edge, but it must be consider all rounded glass is not like Gorilla – it may just tempered glass, so weak in besided shock. So I recommend to buy additional shock resistanted protective cover or bump to make your screen always not be cracked !
You could understand these:
Most of Android smartphones always attacks from hacker by their defection because all platform source code open. So some technical security groups reports vulnerable problems to manufacturer and Google, but these defection not always solved and delivered to end user as like us, and it is specially not an option for Chinese manufacturer.
All Anroid users including form China, must understand what my smartphone has vulnerable problems and it should be fixed or not. Or fix this problem by myself to using many ways.
Economic !
Best worth is just good for uner 120, 130 USD down to over 95 USD for supporting LTE modem. Almost IPS LCD has 720p HD resolution, or sometimes 1080p FHD, but I don’t recommend FHD on Mediatek MT6 and 4 core ARM CPU series. (May 8 cores much better than 4 cores in all performance)
And memory, over 2GB is safe for your minimal performance in life with minimal 16GB storage capacity. Most of Chinese Android 5.1 devices automatically mounts external sdcard to primary storage and you can install many apps on external storage, but you may choose high performanced sdcard for best experience – MLC and UHS-1 is recommened in minimal.
No services
All manufacturers not prepared for your smartphone be fixed in your country or region. You may strongly consider buy or not if you can’t fix smartphone with minimal tools like screw-drivers.
Not recommended manufacturers
Some manufacturer may not prepared to sales on the World. Most of brand names on AliExpress, they are not major if not Xiaomi, Meizu, Lenovo and Letv. Some manufacturer expanding their service facilities on Europe as like Cubot, but not for the global. So I don’t recommend these manufacturer brand name if you are lives in US or Europe.
