I have a two-year-old Kioxia Exceria G2 256GB microSD card that I have performance tested on Apple macOS M1 (Air) with AmorphousDiskMark.
With the G3 product line coming out these days, I tested the performance of my 256GB G2 out of curiosity to see how much it lagged behind the latest products. However, my conclusion is that there is not yet a significant difference in terms of the microSD form factor.
