About Charger:

You may need prepare what your standard in you living. Doogee Y6 provides EU standard 220V plug for bundle. I couldn’t check US 110V type also selective or not.

Stock Design:

I bought black color for my favored inclination, and it lovely well made in first catch. Black and rounded front screen glass feels solid and sleek. There’s a circle and two dots on bottom of screen, and it works touchable naviation hardware keys – works in left order, menu, home and back.

Little lacks of many, there is no LED back light in navi-key buttons. Actually I love these feature but someone dosen’t. But I love to no any lights in navi-key – sometimes in dark, any lights except main screen interrupts my focus.

Upper side of front screen  placed front camera and face-beauty-LED and speaker. It may take picture myself in brightly if I want – but I don’t do that, hugh.

At the bottom side, there’s two stereo holes and a micro USB port in middle. Maybe much looks like iPhone – but it must be an illusion, maybe ! Each navi-keys and home touching screen has not illuminated, but it never possible to make them to this price, just forget it.

Bottom speakers (or single) seems stereo, but actually sound hears on only right side for test, maybe left side is fake holes. There’s a small microphone hole on just left side of micro USB port. I love this bottom sided speark holes to listen anything to put on flat palce. It dosen’t disturbes my listening experience at all.

At the back, there’s single 16Mpixel(real 13Mpixel) F2.0 small camera and fast detecting finger print sensor. By my test, this finger print sensor detects my finger in fast if put in right position. Not much comfort than my iPhone 6s and Xiaomi Redmi3s, much better than Vernee Thor, similar (or same) with Doogee F5.

At the left, there’s SIM slot as like most of modern smartphones that dosen’t detachabled internal battery. It is just same as like Xiaomi and Ulefone.

To open SIM slot, just use bundle SIM extracting pin to put in a hole and push it. Then it will pulled a little out and it could be fully pulled out with finger or hold in SIM extracting tool.

SIM tray not seperated each other for replacing SIM or sdcard. It changes in once with single way as like above picture. A micro-SIM and nano-SIM or micro sdcard, little bit narrowed option for deal with one more SIM or sdcard to extend my storage.

My chosen was one micro-SIM and extending storage to 64GB with MLC micro sdcard.

I could extend all internal memory with 64GB sdcard to format it as android-fs(file system), and there’s a little warning it is too slow even it works over 22MB/sec on UHS-1 standard. And my benchmark scored about under 10MB/sec on this phone with A1 sdcard bench. Little bit nonsense – because I couldn’t feel slow down while using phone while installing and running app with this sdcard.

Android 6 performance

I have tested with these two apps, GeekBench4 and Vallemo for real computing power and web browsing. And used CPU-X app for checking device information.

CPU-X informations:

There’s magnetic sensor with GPS, it may improves detecting which side headed when I have find way to go or driving a car.

Here’s GeekBench4 results:

Simple benchmarked scores similar to Snapdragon 415 or little slightly better. It is exactly almost same performance with MT6753 even assert GPU improved than before, by manufacturer.

And here’s Vallemo results:

Score of 8 cores at MT6750 seems to good performance in benchmark, but my opinion is not for real life because android apps are not runs on over 2 multi cores as I know. It must be multiple apps on running in backgroud may improves performance than less cores. That’s all.

Conclusion:

Totally it is not slow device than fastest devices, comfort to use in low price but well made, not so weak as like one drop one death. Most of casual games on Google App Strore could be play with no lacks of frame rates. It’s enoigh to just install and play most of games and little bit heavy apps. I am enjoying multiple video downloads on UCBrowser or ZetaTo**ent app with built in browser about 6 to 8 threads. And it going little bit heated by high CPU loading but it’s OK. Not much like LG G3’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 80* series.

Over 3000mAh battery extended real using time. I could read many articles whole a day of last weekend on internet, and it ran out to almost 30% until midnight while back to bed.

Camera is just moderated to shoot a picture while day light, no lights makes useless picture, just OK for record your life on internet as like facebook. But don’t expect as like good camera.

Loud speaker on the bottom, it maybe so far from sounds like iPhone. Don’t expect to listening music with bass, it’s missed out. But it much good listening my lover’s voice while talking on phone call, fortunately doogee not made to waste device by phone call. Voice speaker is just good for hear good voice.

And, charging speed not checked (sorry about, it will be next time) for how many current loads while charging. It will be continued to next article, but guess it could loads under 2A at maximum charging because doogee bundled 5V 2A charger.
